The mid-month update on July is a bit on the shorter side, since the past couple weeks have been busy for a lot of us. That doesn't mean there isn't news, though! In fact, there's quite a lot.

First of all, we announced Please Be Happy, another one of our upcoming titles. In fact, it'll be our next full game to be released, currently aiming for a launch later this year. It's a cozy slice-of-life story about Miho, a foxgirl, who arrives in Wellington, New Zealand as part of her lifelong quest to find someone very special to her. adi will be directing PBH, and she's also doing background art, the GUI, some character art, and even writing part of the script with me. Even though we announced PBH later than Samayuuni and LAK, it's the game we've been working on the longest - technically since early 2018! Like most of our titles though, it originally started out as something much different.

The other big thing is that we finally released the Heart of the Woods voice acting patch! It's been great seeing all the wonderful comments and positive reception to it since it launched last weekend. It was a ton of fun and we think it makes the game a whole helluva lot better. I think there were a couple people here who said they were waiting for the voices before playing the game for the first time, so I hope y'all enjoy it!

Rachel's been chipping away at the Lock and Key script and making good progress! Her goal is to have the first two chapters of LAK completely written by the end of this month, and is well on the way to achieving that. We had to put art production for LAK on hold for a while, but that'll be resuming soon as well.

Finally, HB: Next Exit is getting ever closer to the finish line. While the past two weeks have been a slow period for the DLC, we're getting back into the swing of things and are aiming to be playtesting by this time next month.
