May 2020 Wrapup (Patreon)

Hey everyone,
We wanted to recap what we've been working on this month and provide you guys with some progress updates. We're gonna try to do these kinds of updates every couple weeks (we know we've been iffy with the monthly updates - we're sorry) from here on out.
It's looking like we're in for a busy summer. Just yesterday, we got word that the port for the Nintendo Switch version of Heart of the Woods is in the final stages and just about ready for testing. Thanks to everyone who's provided feedback on the voice acting patch so far - it's been a huge help. We still need to get pickup lines recorded and implemented, but that'll be a waaay faster process than the rest of the patch has been. Unfortunately, we're still not sure when we're going to be able to send out Heart of the Woods Kickstarter rewards. As we've mentioned, COVID-19 has made printing and shipping everything a bit of a mess. Like always, we'll keep y'all updated on that situation.
On a happier note, Highway Blossoms: Next Exit is also getting close to the finish line. Pretty much all of the art assets are done or will be done in the next week, and the script is undergoing some final proofreading. Scripting has already begun, and so has recording for voice acting. We're hoping to have that out by the end of Summer.
Speaking of Summer, Summer at the Edge of the Universe has been a little on the back burner while working on other stuff like Next Exit. However, we're happy to say that Stella, our recently promoted writer and author of Adelaide's Celeste Academy date, will be writing a few scenes for Hanna and Quinn's routes in Samayuuni.
Lock and Key has also been chugging along, as you've hopefully seen from our screenshots the past few weeks. The script is coming along steadily, and the first batch of sprites are already completed. If you missed it, Rachel did an interview recently where she talked about LAK amongst other things.
I think that's about it in terms of updates this time around. We'll be back with another one in a couple weeks, and hopefully we'll be able to tell you guys that the HotW port is finished. Until then, take care and stay safe 👍
