Monthly Update - August 2019 (Patreon)

Hello friends, 

It's been another kinda slow month for us, as we're still in the process of righting our course after cancelling Starkeeper. We know what our next project will be, and we're excited for it, but first we've gotta outline the damn thing. We're expecting that to take all of August and part of September. We'll probably be officially announcing it next year, with a title, key visual, logo, and more. After the delays and scheduling issues that we ran into with TWA and HotW, we want to make sure that in the future we avoid announcing stuff too early. Of course, you can still look forward to plenty of sneak peeks here :) 

Speaking of announcements, you may have heard that we're going to be holding a Kickstarter campaign in September to help fund voice acting for Heart of the Woods, as well as physical copies of the game and some other merch, too. We're currently in the process of casting the voice actresses for the characters. A couple weeks ago, we sent out a casting call inviting people to audition, and we'll be accepting those until August 12th. After that, we'll settle on our final choices for the characters. It's going to be tough because we've gotten a lot of amazing auditions already, and there are still more to come.

In a more general sense, we have some broad plans for the future. For one thing, we want to start using our newsletter more, as a way for people to keep up with what we're doing without having to use social media. We'll also get back to doing Screenshot Saturdays and Music Mon(th)days once we have screenshots and music to share.

Here on Patreon, we've got another update to Celeste Academy coming soon, as well as a surprise regarding that project 👀 We'll also be featuring more milkgrrl art in our NSFW tier. Our NSFW comic Freya and the Flower Festival is on a temporary hiatus right now. As always, we're open to suggestions on anything that you'd like to see us talk about for a technical post.

Finally, there's one special acknowledgement that we'd like to make: it's officially been over a year since we first launched our Patreon. The love and support from you guys has been unbelievable, and we appreciate every bit of it. When we first launched our page, we were wondering if anyone would even care. Well, we've been very grateful to see that lots of you do. Whether you've been here since the beginning or joined along the way, thank you for being here.
