Erika Model Sheet (Patreon)

Erika is an energetic and outwardly confident young woman in search of her artist voice. She has a vested interest in photography, but lacks direction. She has a slight competitive streak, which most often is expressed in playing volleyball on her college team. Erika tends to be brazen and confident in every situation that doesn’t really matter, but struggles to assert herself when her emotions are really on the line.

This took me entirely too long to make (in fact, a supportive fan was willing to throw some $$$ my way to justify the time investment for me)

But it’s finally here–a proper model sheet for Erika, my most well developed OC and protagonist of “A Thousand Words”, a graphic novel I’m working on.

Working on this helped me nail down some design choices that have been ambiguous so far–and I even discovered a slight hair color change in the process!

This character, who strangely started out as a simple pin-up character I occasionally drew has evolved into a well-rounded and fully developed character (or at least is headed that way).

She is near and dear to my heart. And finally producing this piece makes her all the more real to me. (Also, it makes fanart easier :3c)
