Decided to just work on the second part of the sequence instead, a few days ago my drawing tablet's drivers stopped working for some odd reason and I had no option but to reinstall them and for some reason that screwed up with my brush settings on Sai.

I spent the rest of the night trying to recreate them but I've haven't been able to since, particularly the brush I use for colors and shading, the difference in shading between the two was pretty noticeable.

For the time being I'm going to continue experimenting with my brush settings, I also gave this pic some tweaks and finished two sketches I'm going to post shortly which I'm pretty happy with.
