"What are you planning on doing?" you ask him, removing your cloak and draping it across the back of a chair.

"It is less about what I plan and more about how bad you wish to overcome this curse." He motions for you to sit as he leafs through a new book, quickly putting it down before looking for another. "A divine curse cannot be undone by simple or complex magic. The only way it can be lifted is by concluding the curse."

"You speak of things I already know."

He continues, "medicine may slow it, but ultimately is a waste of time. Employing magic will stall off the curse, but even it is not a permanent solution."

"Zarik, why are you speaking of things we both know?"

"Because I wish you to understand how I came to this conclusion. So when you decide, you understand it is your only chance, and even then, it will not truly remove the curse, only nullify it."

[["Well don't keep me in suspense."]]

[["You're scaring me."]]

[[Nod.]]

"Your affliction will never be lifted until its terms are completed because it is fueled by the magic of a High God. This is why divine curses are not easily undone. There is no way to end a curse that feeds off an immortal being with infinite magic and life. Yes?"

You nod.

"Medicine and mortal magic will do nothing. So … that leads to only one choice." He turns the book so you can see what he has been viewing. You lean in, and the first words you see are 'possession.'

"A demon."

Yea, I know "Tee where's chapter 3." It's literally like 5k words from being done, honestly. So expect that soon, woo woo! But there's nothing really worthy of sneak peek material in three, to me anyway and I've already started writing some of chapter 4. I just want to write the part where I take Zarik's doll and then Phoenix's doll and I slam their faces together like a five year old kid and make them kiss.
