I've actually wanted to post things like this but never did but here I am, finally doing so.

This is a disclaimer that won't be on the actual PDF's but at the end of the day, be open minded but don't think that what a particular writer says is the end all, be all. My process, my opinions, all of that might differ from yours and that's fine. But also, be open minded, you never know what might help you.

Ohhh thank you so much for this. I've been putting together several ideas myself I've had floating around. I've had some extensive experience as a DM for D&D with campaigns that lasted for years and friends kept wanting more. Wanting to put them all together and organize it in such a way to do storytelling via writing though is very different from oral communication. These tips are great. Especially the "stop editing." I did it twice in this post alone and I know I still have things wrong.

These tips are really great! Thank you! Honestly, I really struggled with the tip number 1, but it's true, everything gets better when you start writing for yourself. For the tip number 2, I usually write my stories by hand, so when you're writing this way on paper for like 3-5 hours, editing is the last thing on your mind (especially when your hand starts to hurt). The writing process is much longer in this case, I know, but I find it much more freeing. I edit stories while rewriting it to computer, but the changes are rather minimal.

The hand hurting thing was one of the main reasons I ended up stopping the notebook one. So I salute you friend lol.
