I knew you guys would love Lee. I figured his philosophy of self-rule (if I can’t do x then I have to do x) and the passion of youth would really get you pumped Heat. This character inspired millions of people around the world to hit the gym as adolescents decades ago, and to this day continues to be an inspiring figure for anime fans trying to get in shape. He is the embodiment of diligence and the all-too-human desire to become something better than you are. Kishimoto may not be able to write women very well, but god damn was he in his bag with this one. Everything Guy says about the hidden lotus in this ep is pretty wild. Stronger than the Hokage??? Surely not.
