Prolly uncommon but Mitsuri my 2nd fav Hashira outta the 4 we've gotten so far, after Rengoku. Her design and moveset/style is so fiya. Plus her being a folktale like character is pretty funny.

I wanna preface this by saying I haven't read the manga (I will eventually) but if I remember correctly it was explained as far back as episode 1 that a human turns into a demon when demon blood enter their wounds (providing they survive) but if Genya is eating demons and that blood is going directly to his stomach I'm guessing that's different. Maybe his stomach acid is strong enough to dissolve enough of the demon blood to a point where he won't turn full fledged demon and that's how he gets his temporary buffs. Anyway one more episode left of this arc, its been a wild ride each episode and I'm looking forward to the finale!

Anime watcher only here as well. They also mentioned that it has to be muzans blood, for them to change. And we've also found out that all of the demon has a % of muzans blood. All depending on how strong the demon is. My theory is that the demon has to make the choice of using muzans blood, and even at that point if the demons is not strong enough they won't want to give it up as muzans blood also gives the demon stronger demon powers. (my thoughts and theory, it is nothing more than that) :)

We learned from the demon that turned Gyutaro that they all have Muzans blood in them. And we know for a fact that the younger sister of Gyutaro had enough of Muzans blood to have flashbacks. So imo my theory still stands as Gyutaro being Higher Moon would have enough of muzans blood to turn Tanjiro and still be "fine"
