That's why Kenta is so dangerous. Coach, himself, and everybody else says that he has weak punches so he worked around that and made his own style of boxing. The ROI with his style is so much greater right now. He's using less stamina to block, jab, and clinch at the key moments than Ippo is using to do his barrages. He's gassing him out and, getting him frustrated, and out scoring him. It's ugly and unexciting, but it is smart and gets wins.
