Episode was good! - Hotd is starting to fall off for me...like there's no one I really root for within the show. The thing with GoT was I was rooting for the Starks, Tyrion, etc. along the way. Hotd everyone is pretty much scum smh. Anyone else feel some type of way on Hotd or is it just me? And god damn I couldn't see anything even on my own HBO max shit was dark as hell LOL

I had to turn the brightness all the way up and I still couldn't see lol. I was rooting for Rhanerya since it feels like the show is trying to make her the main character, but I'm leaning towards Daemon's family right now. Hotd is all about the three headed dragon so while they all scummy it's kinda nice to see the internal fighting. Aemond got the dub this episode for sure but I'm sure the real fighting is just starting from here on out.

Btw the reason Daemon laughed was cause Corlys' bro was throwing shade at Rhaenyra about her bastards during the funeral speech. So more of a "really bro right now of all times" and not just him being an asshole lol

I'm still on rhaenyra's side. I used to feel bad for alicent but don't anymore. I'm not if you can call her "evil" she's just dumb and doesn't realize she's being manipulated. The moment her dad blamed everyone but himself for the "hypothetical" danger her kids were in she should have realized her dad pimped her out for a power play and he's the reason she got caught in the situation she was in. She's now taken that paranoid idea her abusive father put her in and is creating drama bw that kids that doesnt naturally exist. She's literally instigating a civil war that wouldn't happen without her and Cole making the kids fight. The idea that there would naturally be a civil war was proven to be bs the moment her son told her he doesn't want the crown and we even saw he got along better with rhaenyra's kids than his own siblings. Without alicen and Cole stirring shit, the kids would have grown up getting along and she should have encouraged her son to be open about not wanting the crown and his believe that rhaenyra's claim to it was the right one. This way no revolution could arise bc they would have no "rightful heir" to unite under and her kids would be more valuable to rhaenyra alive than dead. And that's not even going into the fact that all evidence points to rhaenyra having no interest in killing the kids, heck she even proposed a marriage that would have guaranteed their safety lol the moment alicent said no to that marriage proposal she made it clear it no longer was about her kids safety but her pride.

Why are people so concerned about "likable" characters? Honestly one of the reasons GoT fell off is because it got too concerned with making characters likable so they started changing book arcs where "good guys" do some morally questionable things and the result was way more boring characters, which for me actually made them less likable because I want to see interesting characters.
