Man, I never thought about the discrepancy of Arlington being beaten up by the baby strawhats after he was beating up New World pirates. You guys always keep it real with pointing out stuff like that. Maybe a big part of it was Arlong being content and getting too cocky in what’s basically the tutorial area for pirates. 😂 The first time I watched it, this flashback caught me off guard with how dark it is. Wasn’t expecting Oda to get so deep with fishman island, but he’s good at getting in depth when you least expect it.
