Haha, my reaction is the same as yours...I do not know is it because they are kids hence they don't quite think things through, or is it the story (maybe we are too mature for these teen antics), but I haven't come across one sound decision making in this show...clearly need mature adults to guide these kids through... none has any ambition for a decent future!
