I really love that Luffy been gettin these L's. Well, actually I hate Luffy losing (it's sad seeing him so frustrated.) But I think it's so great he doesn't get ass pull power ups on the spot. Any other anime I feel he woulda got haki right then and there to slump Magellan 💀💀

Feels like Luffy is learning now what Zoro had to learn early on, the world is devastatingly bigger than you. Zoro wanted to be the strongest swordsman and had to see that disrespectful power difference from Mihawk, now since Luffy wants to be king he gets to see how much he doesn't measure up to the big names on both sides for pirates and Navy. At this point I dont think rookie is a compliment or respectful term anymore lol. Like someone stepping into the Octagon solely because he won some school fights in high school, you're gonna get sat down.

Yeah these episodes were so rough when I watched the first time, that music really gives you so much hope but one piece different they not gonna give him a rando power up to win. Watching ya'll have so much hope knowing he was gonna lose was tough, also for why luffy was hitting like that it's because he could no longer see so he was throwing random hits, which basically gets confirmed when he sends a kick into the fire he was losing his senses, and if you look closely his eyes are really faded and not focused.

I love Magellan. You can really tell after this fight, why he only needs 4 hours a day to get shit done around the place. His entire moveset is viscious. Except for the diarrhea handicap, his devil fruit is overpowered as fuck. His design when he gets serious is sick too.
