I love that Oda basically foreshadowed this in Loguetown when Luffy and buggy got struck by a huge lightning bolt, and Luffy was chillin.

Lmao that Enel face is legendary. I remember that detailed ass manga panel SLAYED me, I wasn't ready. Humbled this big bad in the best way. Luffy is such a nuisance as a protag, like imagine you chllin in your lair, everything been going your way, all according to plan and this nigga you aint never heard of comes running through your crib yelling your name all reckless at the top of his lungs wanting to scrap; ends up making you look foolish, witnesses and all. Conis gets bad bitch points for that move. The bazooka aiming was clean af.

In the manga, Conis does actually get hit by a rock instead. Since the caster is just a small child, it's pretty harsh, so I can understand why they "softened" that scene with a tomato.

Oh yeah! Oda's original artwork is also really fun to see with your own eyes. The way how he draws his panels full of life is definitely worthwhile to check.
