It's wild how accurately they portrayed depression with Subaru. I can tell you from firsthand experience that it's not easy to break out of that worthless mindset after dealing with it for so long no matter how much people tell you they love you. The smallest thing can bring you back to that dark place so in that regard i understand Subaru.

This reaction was great LMAO

I feel you Afro. Deep rooted depression is extremely tough to deal with. The thing that frustrates me the most concerning Subaru is that he's able to witness peoples love in the most unfathomable way, as opposed to only hearing people say it. Whether it's watching countless people literally die for him over and over again, or being able to witness firsthand how they grieve for him once he's dead. I can fully understand his burden of not thinking he's good enough, doing enough, or capable of being useful (outside of return by death). But I do believe he's experienced enough displays of love to be able to realize he's valued by others by now.

Subaru is feeling guilt for all the unhappiness he caused in other parallel universes. I feel him tho man I hope heatah was bit more forgiving for him.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but there are a couple Re Zero movies, one of which is pretty vital plot. Frozen Bond is a plot heavy prequel you can watch whenever, but ideally you’d watch before S2 as it helps to make it more palatable. Memory snow is the other flick, it’s mostly just character development and comedy, but also quite good. Subaru has issues seeing that other people care about him because he’s extremely depressed and has been for a long time. When your mind never stops with the self-deprecation it can be hard to see why other people would like you. It isn’t as simple as him just being socially awkward. Great reactions as always, very insightful and tons of quality control. Looking forward to more from you guys

they literally saying all the things i was thinking about Subaru around this time

this isn't just about "feeling guilty" or even what happened in this world. He just has extremely low sense of self-worth, hates himself, is depressed and has been that way since long before he came to to the new world. I'm not a therapist but something tells me "just read the room" won't fix that.
