Really though, what really even is filler? Stuff that doesn't advance the plot right? Why is that a problem? I feel like from that definition almost every episode of Cowboy Bebop could be considered filler, but I enjoy every single episode. I don't think there's anything wrong with episodes that just showcase character interactions or self-contained stories. They should be judged on their own merits.

right, i also first thought nami would be mad at luffy for destroying her work but it was slave work, work she wasnt proud of if it was under the arlong pirates.

i hate when they translate nakama to friend. "tomodachi" means friend. nakama is more like comrade/companion. it was just weird hearing arlong say "nami is my friend" when he meant comrade

my opinion apparently the plot wanted the navy rat man to escape so he can go back and tell HQ about luffy to give him a bounty for taking down arlong, I agree tho when like u said zoro could've just bodied this foo for what his done to nami nd everything lmao. Btw so the bounties play a big role in One piece keep tht in mind . When u guys progress thru this anime its gonna be a roller coaster man. Lit reaction as always I can't wait for more!

One piece actually has a couple solid filler arcs. I'm caught up to the anime and so far I've probably only skipped 10 or 15 episodes. Out of damn near 1000

Interestingly enough, I skipped only the Davvy Back Fights that I thought to be extremely boring even though it is not filler

Just be on the lookout for the word "nakama" and substitute "friend" in the subtitles for "crew" with the understanding that to be part of a crew is to be part of a family that you chose, at least the way Luffy views it.

Facts! I was grinning wide last ep it was like watching with the homies. Cracking jokes but still enjoying the story. Hell I notice new things this way. I think I pay even more attention to the dialogue on these rewatches than I did initially
