Facts. She's a savage, but Subaru's under the impression that she's on his team. But he can manipulate information from her and really turn up after he dies a couple more times. His shadowy, witch factor is a wild card.

Yeah I got to the same conclusion with Roswaal. Funny thing is, looks like maybe the book doesn't specify 'Subaru,' as he wasn't always onboard with him. I think around episode 12 or 13 is when Roswaal knew and was fully on board - you saw him smile in the castle. That's probably why he has to tell Beatrice "I am that person."
