Yeah the danger is getting even more real for the gang soon. Assassins now mind trip zombies whats next. (This episode is like one episode in cowboy bebop. The whole gang basically couldnt possibly survive the situation and it couldnt possibly be real. Its just a side story not following the plot. In cowboy it was a Alien homage this is more like a Zombie homage. Either the gang ate bad shrooms and this was all a trip or its a stand alone episode like the one in Cowboy Bebop. Also ive been having trouble sleeping and this aint helping lol.

Yea Watanabe (Champloo, Bebop creator) always has at least one episode that completely deviates from the main plot in his series. There's a similar ep in Space Dandy and Bebop

I like that they started with Champloo, out of the three I would say it is the weakest. Still love them all though.
