Can't wait till ya'll hit the Part 2 hype. At the end of the series though y'all have to watch certain scenes from the movies Gurren-hen (the intro) and Lagann-hen (final battle).

Also I'm pretty sure the spiral king's gunmen is named Rasengan, which translates to "Spiral Sphere"; not sure why the english translation stuck with Lazengann (there's no L sound in japanese so they use something that sounds closer to an R)

It can be romanized either way I think, but the actual translation for Lazengann is "Spiral Face", not "Spiral Sphere". That one is for the Naruto attack.
