I hope everybody is having a good weekend! We greatly appreciate all of the support y'all have provided us, because we probably would've stopped dropping vids if it wasn't for y'all. We've got some good news and we've got some bad news.

The good news: We just got a Vimeo account, so there is no need to have to sync up with the full length reactions from this point on (we started with Fridays uploads).  We want to thank everybody who suggested we go this route to make the Full Length reactions 10x better. We think it could help the channel tremendously.

The bad news: Hus is about to start a new job in about 2 weeks, and we have no choice but to reduce the number of weekly uploads starting January, because we're not in a position to hire an extra editor.

To keep it real, I have no clue what to do with the schedule.  We love Yu Yu and Jojo, but watching these 2 long anime at the same time has put us in a bind, especially since neither series is really helping us gain any exposure on YouTube.  We'd like to hear your input on what we should do, and we'll start a poll immediately if necessary.

If we upload 7 videos a week (one upload daily), what should the schedule be? We're open to all suggestions.  With the reduced schedule, the rap recaps will be returning (I know not everyone listens to rap, but those were pretty popular).  I'll also try to drop 1 AMV every 2 weeks as well, allowing y'all to vote on what anime scenario, fight, or characters to create one for; If that's something y'all would like of course.

So what's up? Let's figure something out to keep us goin until we can get on our feet a little better.

Hey y’all! Good to hear from y’all! What I would say is to pause on YuYu atm and pick up a show like Black Clover, Fire Force, or a newer anime that’s currently ongoing. You’ll finish whatever show you run along with Jojo then you can resume YuYu and a newer show. This will get you more YouTube exposure as well as let you finish off your started shows.

Jaffar0@hotmail.com

Yo too me is fine, I will love to see this channel get more support, I love the reactions and discussion..keep the good work

HowardisBoss

Currently you guys are doing Hakusho, JoJo's, and Vinland (might've missed other series). Once yall are done with Vinland you guys are planning on doing a new anime of course. I say have a poll on what should get priority from there we can pause one series and come back later. What newer series were you guys planning on picking up? Determining a schedule is mostly dependent on how many weekly series you guys plan on watching.

Fasho! I wanna see y’all succeed ! Plus you’ll love these new shows!

ChaosPudding

I would say pausing Jojo momentarily, finish the Dark Tournament Arc in YYH, then pause YYH and continue until at least the end of part 4 of Jojo, along side a few popular shows airing at the time (For instance, you could catch up with My Hero right before/during the most hype moments of the season if you start now and drop 3/4 episodes of My Hero a week). After you finish part 4 you can put up a poll to see if people want to go to part 5 or finish off YYH first, then you can do the other choice afterwards. Going forward with the 1 upload a day is a good idea, but I would say have maybe 3 shows going at once, with only 1 being either a long runner or a show not currently airing. I know you don't want to jump into One Piece without careful consideration because of how daunting it is, but with how well you guys pay attention and how great your reactions are I'm pretty certain you'll find a lot of success with it.

Any combination of what everyone else is saying is good also. Just pause whoever one soon and resume it later. It’ll help a bunch.

HowardisBoss

Or just have a rotation. Where one week is YuYu and the next week is JoJo's. Catching up to part 5 might be good since it ended not too long ago and is fresh in people's minds that could do well for viewership. But doing 2-3 episodes a week of catchup and 4 episodes for new series would be a good balance.

Rudeus Greyrat

In my opinion the only way to get exposure as a reactor is post new hyped anime episodes ASAP with a click bait title . Although the winter season is pretty ass for anime. I suggest you either put Jojo or yu Yu Hakusho on hold and then react to re zero first season because the second season of re zero is coming out in spring and is gonna be super hyped view wise

melo

I like how you engage with your audience Heatah I appreciate that a lot. As fire as Yu Yu is, it might have to be put on the back burner again after the Dark tournament arc. Once you get into part 5 of JoJo I think the views will increase because it’s the most popular and also most recent JoJo part to get animated. (It got animated 2018-2019) As for ongoing shows, idk tbh because we’re approaching the end of the winter season so hopping on a currently airing show while it’s 10-20 episodes in already won’t really help with new viewership I think, Unless it’s a really big name like My Hero Academia because it’s consistently one of the most popular shows, especially if you can catch up and release them day of airing like how y’all did with Attack on Titan. Whatever y’all decide ima keep supporting regardless cuz y’all the goat reactors. Been here since before y’all even had Patreon and I ain’t going anywhere.

SepticMist

Problem with doing one piece is that they'd have to do a lot of episodes per week, or people will likely lose interest. One piece reactions has currently gotten a resurgence on youtube, but most of the people who are getting good views seems to be doing quite a few episodes per week, and doing them in like 3 episode chunks. I wonder if their is an alogarithm issue in play here, with maybe yt not promoting their vidoes as much compared to other reaction channels.

ZaaZoJo

Finish Yu Yu because its worth it man.

Ahmed Ali

Have a poll for patrons - Jojo or yuyu - then add a short and very popular anime. Try to diversify with a short season Netflix/Amazon prime/HBO show like the Witcher (8 epi sodes per year) or Chernobyl (5 epsiodes till finished).

Heatah22reacts

Preciate the continual support my brother. I agree with you on every point. I'd REALLY hate to stop Yu Yu after the Dark Tournament, but that might have to be the move. We're gonna continue it in the future for sure if we did go that route

Anonymous

New one piece reactors seem to get alot of exposure, but that anime is very long. But it's also very worth it.

Anonymous

Maybe ya should start watching Dragon Ball Z Abridged, reactors get good views with that on Youtube!

Anonymous

And don’t stop watching Yu Yu until the Dark tournament ends

Famine Man

I'm assuming you have viewers that are there either only for yuyu or only for jojo so maybe you can keep both series up but reduce overall uploads to make more room for new shows? Like if you're going to do 7 uploads /week, keep 1 slot for jojo, 1 for yuyu so you do t lose these viewers. And then maybe pick up 2-3 new shows that you'd like that are relatively popular/fresh/are getting a new season soon to get new viewers and exposure Also I don't even listen to rap but the rap recaps had me dyin each time and I think its a super cool and creative way to do a recap of previous episodes!! Keep up the good stuff and good luck to hus for the new job!! 👍

Beast Boy

When it comes to views, I suggest mainstream animes. Since they're the hype of right now. Such as black clover, which is aight to me but many beg to differ. Then you got the new season of My hero. One piece is the goldmine for reactors since it's the longest running anime. Doctor stone is good one. Fire force as well. Both of the new age anime an everyone loves both.

Anonymous

Appreciate the transparency fellas, I think that's key to forming a community. As for the vids, it's tough out there. I think a lot of us YuYu fans would like to continue the show past the Dark Tournament, but as you've said it's not pulling as much as you'd hope for viewership. One idea I would posit would be that after the Dark Tournament ends, you release Yuyu/Jojo reactions as Patreon Exclusives, maybe once a week or something. Just an alternative idea to pausing the reactions completely. I'll have to think more about viewership ideas...I hope you guys get some good feedback in the meantime. Cheers fellas!

Starplatinum98

Your jojo reactions are too good so I don’t mind a reduced schedule or even a temporary hiatus if that’s what it takes. But thank you so much for setting up Vimeo. I was looking foolish with my family seeing me holding two phones together to watch your reactions!

Cruel Sun

Finish the Dark tournament and take a pause on YuYu Hakusho, Jojo Part 5 is actually really popular so Id say catch up to that part. My hero academy is actually starting to pick up so i'd ride that wave if I were yall, there are some hype moments coming up.

Anonymous

My personal take is finish dark tournament, keep part 4 going and once you get to part 5 the views should climb since it's the most recent part and was trending a lot while airing and then begin a show like dr. Stone or black clover which are what's popping right now

BlunTastic23

I love your guys channel just JoJo isn’t my anime for sure cause I just feel to repetitive but I’m a anime Geek an there are great ones atm like Black clover his Lit, y’all should get back on MY HERO S4 idk what happen to that!! TBH an fire force or Dr Stone are brand new an just ending S1 by December!! Keep up the good work my guys

Jalekok

I think you should continue with Yu Yu Hakusho since the upcoming stuff with Toguro and the villain in the next arc are like the palace invasion equivalents when comparing it to HxH. The views obviously won't be as high as some of new flavor of the month shows but they should definitely be much higher than any episode thus far. The pacing in the next arc is also much faster.

MelanieRS

yay rap recaps back!!! I love those (and I'm not even a super rap fan) . I would suggest dropping whatever feels that is it's not super relevant and maybe picking up a short show that's seasonal for Winter 2020

Daniel Gonzalez

So even tho I love yuyu I would say probably reduce it to maybe 1 episode a week after the dark tournament and finish off jojos part 4 and then maybe 2 episodes of jojo since part 5 is pretty popular I hear (I actually just started it good stuff) and as someone else said maybe catch up on some anime that are about to come out with a new season I think Re Zero S2 once it airs could help out with views also My Hero is starting to get into the meat of its season and maybe another show like fire force that's currently airing just some ideas also have you guys thought about movie reactions those can be one and done so other than the longer runtime once you're done it's done

shmokeys

I think My Hero and Dr. Stone can bring in new viewers. I'd suggest cranking out season 4 Jojo's and Dark Tournament of Yu Yu, then slow them down to once a week. I have definitely gone on youtube searching "jojos part 5 reaction" multiple times lol, so I'm sure part 5 will at least get more views than part 4. Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite anime but it is old and won't pull in viewers. I'm just hoping you guys don't drop it altogether because it seems like you guys enjoy it and I damn sure love the reactions. I don't keep up with all the new stuff but I think this time of year is kinda dry for new anime anyway. Maybe a good time to catch up on recent stuff and be ready for the next round of new anime. Congrats on the job Hus, I hope it does well for you!

Jaime Soto

agreed with the winter dry down, perfect time to get some hot fire series reactions going as we transition from meh season into Spring greatness!

Anonymous

What’s important is that you finish JoJo as soon as possible while Part 5 is fresh enough in peoples minds. If you wait too long you might have to wait until Part 6 is announced in order to garner enough YT viewership and that could be a while. YYH might have to take a backseat if you want to gain more YT views as well as starting a newer series to gain viewership

Grand-Daddy Longnuts

So if you're looking for exposure, your options are between adding a new show that's hype at the moment, or a classic that everyone wants to see reactions to. Most of us find it really satisfying reliving classics through good reactions. Thankfully a lot of the popular classics are either hype trains or have cliffhangers left and right. Great ones would be Code Geass (rollercoaster show) and Gurren Lagann for the pure hype. As for new ones, Hero Aca S4 is gonna have a wild season, keep up Vinland, Jojo S5 is hype with everyone right now, and apparently so is Re:Zero. Between those you ought to cover enough for new things to come out in the meantime. Love the reactions my guys!

Anonymous

dark tournament is a must finish imo but jojos pt 5 is where the views will be at the most for reactions out of the two series

Anonamai

Maybe to pull in those YT views react to My heros new season once a week. I just started watching Jojo and about to start Yu Yu so I get why the hypes not there cause they’re old. The vimeo format will definitely help going forward. I don’t even follow your schedule like that but I’m sure once a week won’t hurt the following you have.

Render Britton

If you do one piece would you skip filler? As long as it's only a pause I wouldn't mind if we had to take yu Yu off for a bit. But my vote would be a purse on jojos

Hypemaster

all I know is I need part 5 (the part that has the most exposure currently) then I'm good with whatever, but to at least finish the tournament arc of yu yu. Also congrats to Hus.

Jaime Soto

before I write out my essay I wanna find out where Heat and Hus are on MHA cuz they need to catch up.

Chris V

Yeah, I think the best thing to maximize viewership is posting a reaction to an airing anime (MHA for example) within 2 days of it airing and posting it on youtube. Maybe pause yuyu and concentrate on getting to part 5 of JoJo's since it's still fresh in people's minds and might draw in more viewers. Other ideas for drawing viewers, I think live action series reactions do pretty well(Agents of shield, The 100, Breaking Bad), so maybe think about doing some of those when the schedule permits it.

Blackfeet808

Since Hus schedule gonna be tight, you should do your reactions in giant chunks, and slowly release them on YT

Anonymous

Next yu yu arc begins at episode 67 I think, you can probably finish jojo part 4 and Dark tournament in yu yu before Hus starts his new job. Honestly, I prefer the next yu yu arc over jojo part 5 but, I think the villain in the next yu yu arc is absolute shit compared to toguro tho the arc is really good and, Jojo part 5 can be funnier but, not as good as part 2, 3, or 4. If 7 uploads a week is your schedule maybe do 1 yuyu and 1 part 5 jojo a week and try another 1 or 2 more popular anime for traction and if that doesn't work, keep it steady with 2 yuyu / 1 jojo part 5 a week, and 2 jojo part 5 / 1 yuyu a week in intervals. That way you can knock out 3 episodes of Yu Yu and Jojo in a 2 week span while also trying to gain more traction with newer series

Anonymous

1 other thing, maybe start a poll here on your patreon first. Pick maybe 10 to 15 series on patreon that people may want to watch...after you've got a good poll of 10-15 series, take the top 5/6/7 series and post another poll to EVERY youtube upload, that way you can make the patrons happy on further series AND give youtube viewers a chance to pick some newer series. If you do go with the poll idea, make sure to mention the poll "that you pinned in the description / comment section" so anyone watching your vids has a chance to vote on a new series

Anonymous

sorry I meant, just elude to the youtube audience (and not the paid patreon players) that you're struggling to find some good new series and that you want the youtube audiences input. Make sure to broadcast something eluding to a poll for a new series in all of your youtube videos and maybe try to 2/1 and 1/2 jojo/yuyu per 2 weeks thing so you can bang out 2+2 or 1+1+1+1 of new series each week. I've checked and I'm sure you have to that, a lot of the more popular reaction channels can actually survive and flourish on 1 to 2 episodes of any given show a week so, you can reasonably continue jojo and yuyu and pick up 2 / 3 / 4 new series a week if 7 vids is your limit

Anonymous

I swear, this patreon format for comment is awful, I cant go back to read my comments before posting however, the #1 reason I even pledged to you guys is because HxH is my favorite series AND your insight and understanding of the series was so on point compared to any other channel reacting to HxH on youtube that, I just wanted to throw you guys a little something. The only exception is the Semblance of Sanity guys (who are making roughly $20k a month through patreon alone a month thanks to HxH and Jojo but...) you guys are much more ABBREVIATE AND ON POINT than those two guys, I swear you guys can watch a 20 minute episode and perfectly articulate the whole thing with editing and post-episode insight and make a video that's under 20 minutes. However, the SOS guys will watch the same episode as you, edit it down about the same as you, and then they ramble for like 20 minutes about nothing and predictions and I can only ask myself "how the fuck are people giving money to these guys?" not to mentions the SOS guys mostly give only 1 episode a week of whatever they're watching and then diahhrea out their mouths for 30 minutes after posting a 13 minute reaction vid

Anonymous

Okay bud don't go shitting on other channels. A lot of people follow SOS as well, me included. Their format runs longer because of the deep dives. Bringing them down doesn't provide any meaningful feedback for Heatah and Hus. Let's be constructive.

Anonymous

I wish I could and wouldn't mind helping you two get exposure, I just have no idea how...Youtube is such a weird a game that it pretty much seems like in order to find a reaction channel, you just have to search "series name, episode number" and you're lucky if your video pops up as 1 of the first few results. I'm not really sure how you counter that

Anonymous

Hell, I don't like One Piece or even Naruto that much past the first half but, if you've never watched either of those series, they're definite "go to" series. I've seen new naruto channels sprouting up in the past year that can reach 25-100k views per video so that's a definite DO IT if you've never seen it

Anonymous

If you want to try to get some more exposure on YouTube maybe you guys should react to some of the new anime that comes out for the winter season of anime

Anonymous

Well, I've been saying watch TTGL for over 1 year now :) and that gets great exposure. But to be honest, One Piece might do the job instead. Suggestion: Watch the first episode of a few series, and gauge the reactions on YT. Stick with the one that works; don't worry about what we think. Hope you see this.

MojoJojoGojo

Add another show! There's plenty yall need to see for the views

Anonymous

As far as growth is concerned, One Piece is always the way to go. The One Piece community loves to see people take the journey that is One Piece.
