You bro's seem a little confused so let me try to clear it up for yall. Father is the first 'Homunculus' in theory but much of his children see him as greater being. Basically all of the Homuculus are just bits of sins taken from Father in essence making them all the same person. Just different parts of the whole. Pride is considedred the 'First Humunculus' because he is the first sin Father took out from himself and gave a body. Hope that clears up thing for you guys!

Yeah other people have said it, but the dwarf in the flask is Father, not Pride. That line from Pride about being the first homunculus just confuses people lol. What pride meant was that he was the first homunculus that father created after he got his new body.

Thanks for the breakdown fam! I knew the sins were homunculi from father, but what confused me is that Al recognized a humunculus as being an artificial human when he talked to greed. So when this dwarf in the flask talks to hoenheim, and calls himself a homunculus, It was a little confusing deciphering whether it was father or pride at first. I was leaning toward it being Father tho.

Hohenheim's name (and the name the dwarf first suggested) is actually a reference to a real-life alchemist! Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, better known as Paracelsus, was a Swiss physician and alchemist who lived during the early 1500s.
