In the same fantasy realm as the one with the magical love talisman, the Human knight, Jareth Briteblade, accepts a powerful blessing that promises to always make him a match for his nemesis, the unstoppable Orc warrior, Oisín Drake-Tamer. As the two fight across the realm, the blessing proves effective as Jareth is granted the strength and tenacity only seen among the Orcs of the realm. But over months of rivalry between the two, Jareth realizes that the wording of the blessing may have been unclear...

As time passes, Jareth slowly experiences bodily changes, alterations to his behavior and new desires. And as much as he attempts to hide these odd new quirks, a simple slip-up during a fight with Oisín reveals that Jareth has transformed into an Orc himself, or rather herself. Flushed with the sense of relief of not having to keep her new nature hidden from her once-rival, Jareth accepts who she is now and her feelings for Oisín.
