August Short Comic Poll #2 (Patreon)

Oh wow, that was quite the number of suggestions this time! I hope no one gets too sad that I couldn't pick their suggestion for this poll 😅

In any case, this poll will be up from July 19 (10pm CET) to July 23 (10pm CET).

And yes, you're reading the title right, "short comic." Starting in September I'm gonna get back to the long comics, but there'll be a post explaining the full deal about that on the 25th. In any case, here are your options:

1. Gobsicle - Jeb, a young recent arrival to Empire Bay, strolls along beach of one of the unincorporated coastal neighborhoods of the micronation. Hobby Hollows, as it's named is a quaint little town on the American north-east, that for some reason is full of goblins. Feeling rather toasty in the summer sun, Jeb notices an ice cream stall carrying the name "Mr. Glippy's Piquant Popsicles!"

Without hesitation, the man exchanges money for a treat and begins to enjoy the frozen treat. But as soon as he starts tasting it, the wires in his brain begins to reorganize and a compulsive need forms within his mind, a need to lick and suck on the cold, sweet stick in the most lewd and suggestive ways imaginable.

As the stick grows shorter and thinner, Jeb also grows shorter, but not exactly thinner as his masculinity melts off like a popsicle in the sun. When the treat is finished, Jazz is delighted to see that she's no longer a human, but an adorable goblin in a summer dress.

2. A Sharp Cut- An AMAB egg in their early 20s has fallen on hard times, the economy ain't the best, even in Empire Bay there's always a few rainy days a year. With no other options for the moment, they choose to accept a menial job as a janitor at a hair salon. Keep the salon clean and in working order. At least the hair stylists are really friendly though.

The constant exposure to the various hair and make-up products (from RAZE out of all companies) has an unforeseen effect on them as they gradually turn into a curvy vivacious woman with big beautiful hair who after a fair bit of time at the salon learns how to cut hair with the best of them and quickly gets a new job at the salon.

3. Bulking Up - The Queendom of Touria, a kingdom in the Seventh Realm best known for its amazonian ladies, usually doesn't give its diminutive lads much space to make names for themselves. But despite this, the women of the queendom have a sixth sense recognizing when a "man" has a lot of promise.

When a young man of the nation decides it's time for "him" to get somewhere in life, he ventures to the riverside city of Goldstream to take on the role of a Port Guard. Usually such an act inspires roaring laughter from the much larger and beefier ladies, but with an understanding smirk between the port officials, he is hired on and for the next few months he's put through a special kind of training regimen.

Morning push-ups, evening jogs and lots of protein make up the daily routine for the young "lad" as they grow in stature and bulk. Once having to look up at the Port Guard Commander even when she was sitting down, now she's easily the biggest of them all. And it wasn't just her physical size that grew, but her feminine arrogance swelled up as well, making her just as typically self-assured as any of her Port Guard comrades.

4. For the Hive! - In the Seventh Realm, Hobgoblins - the larger, militaristic cousins of the goblins - of the Eastern Archipelagos have been the Realm's resident seaborne scourge. Pirates and privateers whose only allegiances are to their own brethren or whomsoever can make their coinpurse the fattest. And when no one else is ready to pay them, they certainly don't mind doing some treasure hunting. After all, the islands around Terrelai are plentiful and many rich folk have lived on them.

In one such treasure hunt, aboard the Ginger Swan, serves a young Hobgoblin who is a bit of an outlier, being the odd intellectual Hobgoblin. This young man is one of many seafaring adventurers looking for loot on the islands off the coasts of the Great Taurian Plains. And as luck would have it, he discovers a ruin the island has swallowed up. One that's covered in absurd murals depicting "savage Orcs" and "whisper-thin Elves."

But all of that pales in comparison to the centerpiece of the ruin, an egg-shaped black jewel larger than his own head. As in a trance state, he walks up towards the podium it magically hovers above, only to accidentally step into a bee's nest! In his panic he flails around and makes so much noise that he awakes all the sleeping owls above who flap their wings wild enough that the air is practically choked with feathers. And in a final clumsy move, the Hobgoblin lad stumbles onto the jewel at the same time a bee and an owl bumps into it.

And in that move, the Cornerstone of Convergence activates. Fusing the destinies of bees, owls and a particularly intelligent Hobgoblin into one. Similar to how the Twin Cornerstones altered reality itself regarding Elves and Orcs, so does the black Cornerstone change every Hobgoblin and all of their history.

Feathers cover the young Hobgoblin's arms and parts of his head, his arms now having retractable feathers that offer flight, and claws adorn his feet. His clothing alters to that of a chitinous armor that carries a similar aesthetic to the carapace of bees, his kind being quite proud of their secretive ability to produce such chitin. "His" kind now being the wrong word however, since practically all Hobgoblins are female, living in hive-like structures on their islands where they farm giant flowers for their sweet nectar. And finally she feels her mind expand to the point where she recognizes that what just happened is patently ridiculous. But it inarguably did happen and with her expanded intellect she recalls memories of her past that assures her that she is the only person in the entire Realm who knows what just happened.

Shoving the Cornerstone into her bag, she flies off to meet her archaeologist companions in the airship they docked outside. This stone has brought a great change to the entire reality of the Realm and she must inform her queen of the dangers such an artifact could pose to the world. And someone needs to be sent back down there to look over those strange murals. Could an artifact like this one have changed reality before?

5. Dragonesses and Dresses - A chubby nerdy AMAB eggtagonist with glasses on his face is rolling up a DnD character when "his" emerald-looking 20 sided dice "he" is using begins to glow and transforms "him" into a big, busty and buff anthro dragoness in a huge poofy ballgown version of "his" otherwise normal outfit, which then further transforms into a poofy ballgown version of a knight's armor. The room becomes a fantasy tavern setting full of various buff and busty dragonesses also dressed in ballgown versions of outfits typical worn by DnD Classes.
