Poll time, pals!

And yeah, I know we're voting for the first August comic in July, but I still have to do the Meido comic after the Hoodie one, which should be done very soon. I've been forced to take it slow on the Hoodie comic because I keep having to take 30-minute breaks every 1-2 hours to raise my leg up after the car accident. I'm starting to do a lot better now though :D

This poll will be open from July 9 (10pm CET) to July 13 (10pm CET).

And the suggestions are as follows:

-

1. This Is My Last Resort - In some of the Orcish Khanate seaside towns, the Orcs have built fancy resorts for the rich and elite members of their society. They have erected magical barriers ensuring that only Orcs and their guests can enter the resort's beaches.

A group of Human thieves believe they have found a spell that'll let them through the Orcs' barriers, although they're uncertain of just how the spellery works and if there might be some side effects. Two of the thieves get bullied into going through and to their surprise, they pass through the barriers without any problems.

Unexpectedly, the two thieves transform into Orcs and the whole team decide that this is a perfect opportunity for the two recent transformees to scope the place out. And when they're done, they can invite the rest of the gang in for the big heist.

As the two "new Orcs" enter the resort, staff members show them all the resort's luxuries, such as massages and other health treatments that are provided to all Orcs pro-bono. Once the pampering has finished, the two thieves feel just fabulous and haughty and they decide to try more and more treatments until there's a noticable change in their demeanor. A few days later the two Orcs have completed their transition into snooty, high-class orcs. As they sunbathe on the beach, a staff member comes up saying some Humans want to come into the resort as their guests but they just scoff at the idea of inviting Humans as their guests.

[Seventh Realm, Human male to female and female to male Orcs, if you catch the reference you get a headpat.]

2. Cuter when Small - A rude Orc who's having a very  bad day accidentally crosses paths with a Witch who is also having a  very bad day. Without really thinking it through, the witch casts a Curse of Introspection on the Orc which makes him start pondering why  he's been such a jerk for so long. As the curse progresses, the Orc transforms into a shortstack Halfling girl. And despite all the height and strength she's lost she's never felt more comfortable and assured in herself and goes to thank the Witch who apologizes for her reckless casting earlier.

[Generic fantasy, male orc to female halfling. Last chance for this one]

3. A Sharp Cut- An AMAB egg in their early 20s has fallen on hard times, the economy ain't the best, even in Empire Bay there's always a few rainy days a year. With no other options for the moment, they choose to accept a menial job as a janitor at a hair salon. Keep the salon clean and in working order. At least the hair stylists are really friendly though.

The constant exposure to the various hair and make-up products (from RAZE out of all companies) has an unforeseen effect on them as they gradually turn into a curvy vivacious woman with big beautiful hair who after a fair bit of time at the salon learns how to cut hair with the best of them and quickly gets a new job at the salon.

[Empire Bay, human male to female]

4. Remedial Spycraft - The Nightfolk of Morundine, continuing the elaborate schemes for the surface, send a magical artifact to awaken their deep cover infiltrator in the Queendom of Touria. Unfortunately for their schemes (but fortunately for the surface world), a clerical error has the package sent to the wrong address, where it is opened by a bored housespouse. (Remember, Touria is the matriarchal queendom where men are pretty low down on the hierarchy.)

Because Humies are just that susceptible to magic, the artifact instead turns 'him' into a vision of a beguiling female Noxae, just as the real spy was supposed to be. Finding the changes rather appealing, and with nothing better to do (life as a Tourian housespouse can be really boring), the newly deputized Nightfolk spy does her best to follow the attached instructions. However, given that her knowledge of Nightfolk spies comes from penny dreadfuls, her idea of being a new spy mostly amounts to dressing fancy, and seducing enemy agents (mostly her wife). The national secrets of Touria should be safe for the time being.

[7th Realm, bored AMAB or NB Humie housespouse into femme fatale Nightfolk/Noxae of dubious competence]

5. Artist's Suggestion, An Unlikely Union - We return to the Dieselpunk setting of Tyrodas where the West Empire of Kalcyria and the Paralaesian National Coalition have fought a stalemate war for as long as the history books can recall. Although there are also a scant number of “independent” vassal states that have retained some degrees of autonomy.

Within the small Empire vassal state of Elkorad, the industry workers have fought a long fight for better labor conditions with very little success and the on-going battle is looking like it will go down in favor of the wealthy industrialists once more. But one of the union leaders isn’t ready to let them win without one last plea to their sense of humanity. And to “his” surprise the factory owner welcomes him to a final negotiation. Unfortunately it’s all a ruse.

The factory owner reveals that there’ll be no more negotiations and that the union leader will be disposed of, as he pushes our eggtagonist into a large vat of volatile oil. The same oil that humans have extracted from underneath the earth for hundreds of years. Unbeknownst to either of them however, long -time exposure to the exhaust, fumes and direct contact with this red-sheened oil has had curious effects on humanity that only recently started to manifest in obvious ways. Scant reports of mutations have been seen in newspapers but very little has been established as facts.

As the union leader fights to stay alive, the overwhelming saturation of oil around him ignites his latent mutations and he feels vigor and vitality energize him as he starts changing underneath the surface of the oil vat. It’s like a dream is realized while his body quakes and warps into what “he” now knows it should have always been like.

The vat blows up and from its greasy carcass rises a gorgeous woman with slit pupils, glowing irises, sharp long ears and talons for nails. The sight strikes the factory owner in awe before the lady walks up to him and uses her true powers to instill some long overdue respect for his workers into him…

A year later and the factory is the safest and most productive in all of Elkorad. The factory owner still rus the show, but for some reason, all his decrees and proclamations of change are announced in a slow and trance-like manner. And no matter where he went, he was accompanied by an imposing and dominant lady who people occasionally noticed whispered in his ears.

[Stolen Skies Dieselpunk Setting, human male to female mutant siren, mild corruption themes]

Oh no last chance! Come on everyone, don’t you wanna see Kim do a Halfling? Vote Cuter When Small, Today!

porcelainfox

Kinda shocked by the lack of love for Remedial Spycraft.

ChiCha

Requires not one, but two points of familiarity with 7th realm lore that don't have easy references outside the setting, I might imagine. Appreciate the shock, though!

KimRinzley

I really didn't expect my suggestion to crush this hard, so I'll give Cuter When Small another last chance next time 😅
