May Minicomic Poll #1 (Patreon)

Once again my mind was elsewhere (drawing Goblins) and I forgot to write up this poll in time. I'm really sorry about this 😭

Anyway, let's do this.

This poll will be open from April 19th (Whenever I manage to get this out) to April 23rd (10pm CET).

1. "Everything And Anything An Unexpecting Mother Could Want!" - A new maternity store has mysteriously appeared. Superstork has everything an expecting mother could need! Our eggtagonist goes to the store to shop for his twin sister’s baby shower, happy to help but with an inexplicable fascination of all the lovely stuff that the store has to offer... 

As he fills his shopping cart with stuff from his sister's list, each item causes a corresponding change to "him." 

By the time each item on the list has been picked, "he" is no longer the fitting pronoun as she's now a visibly expecting mother! Positively glowing and overjoyed by the changes she realizes just before reaching the register that she's done a goof! All of the items she's picked out was for her sister, but she's gonna need the same stuff! So back in she runs, checking off the list a second time.

2. "Uhm, Actually Time Doesn't Work This Way" - In the Seventh Realm, the most prominent figure of magical learning at the Academy of Tenshyr is the Magus Maximus, a man of unsurpassed knowledge and power. Frequently called upon to unravel the higher mysteries of the magical world and even speak to the Old Gods on behalf of all sorcerers, wizards, witches and other casting folk, only royalty carries a greater level of influence and prestige.

… That is so long as you're not the current holder of the title, a septuagenarian human and scion of a rather infamous magical legacy. Gibson Synoir is that man, who has spent his entire life steeped in scholarly pursuits and little else. Which is immediately apparent the moment he opens his mouth to weigh in on any passing conversation to hastily correct or inform his educated peers. Most try to stay away from him, or else be “uhm, actually’d.”

One day as he was scrying the fabric of time using his personal chronarium (a magical device which allows you to project yourself across the ages and should theoretically not be able to disturb fragile flow of time), and somehow managed to move one event that would change Gibson’s fate forever. By accidentally torching a rose garden to ash in the past, he prohibits his own father from pursuing the young lady who would one day turn into Gibson’s mother. And instead Gibson’s father chooses to dedicate his youth to his studies which will one day lead him to become the Magus Maximus instead!

But serendipitously Gibson does not disappear from history. Rather his life starts many years later, as the child of the Magus Maximus of Tenshyr and a lovely Goblin scholar. Now a young half-human-half-goblin lady by the name of Gwyneth, she quickly finds comfort in her new form. With the wisdom of hindsight, Gwyneth realizes that she only ever hid away in her books as “Gibson” because he was too dull to engage with the other students. But as Gwyneth, she has so much fun being the Academy’s resident party girl that being a woman is just right for her!

Of course, her soon-to-retire father wishes she’d spend more time studying than partying.

3. RAZE: The City - A sleepy egg tries new RAZE: The City, a coffee flavoured energy drink. She goes from being a slow witted (from a lack of sleep) but intelligent boymoding pushover (who runs herself ragged taking extra shifts and doing other people favours), to a perky and impulsive (still smart, but now she's too impulsive to take advantage of it instead; some things never change) punk, who will do no harm, but take no shit.

4. Corporate Drake-Over - Dragon-Queen Mischelle is only one of the many Dragon-Queens of the new world we saw in Year of The Dragon Forever. At a different place but on the same date, a closeted trans woman is bored to tears listening to a bunch of old men talking business this and finance that. She's only an intern there as part of her college program, but already she's starting to suspect that old geezers like this shouldn't be in control of corporations with this much control of society.

But suddenly, just as she starts nodding off, Mischelle's wish manifests itself across the world and the steel and glass business tower turns into a large castle. And while she turns into another mighty beautiful Dragon-Queen, the old men turn into her devoted princesses.
