[New Original] ANIMAL ABOARD (Patreon)

This one started out as two songs back in 2014.
Both songs were follow ups to The Anteater and Electro Swank, and while I finished a version of Animal Aboard and even got artwork for it, the second song never got past an early creative roadblock after a jolt of incredible initial inspiration.
For some reason I just never ended up releasing the finished song. It just didn't feel right for some reason. I loved parts of it, I guess I just felt I didn't have anything to say with it.

I've tried reworking the song several times throughout the years. I have 4 different Animal Aboard remake projects on my computer, and each one ended the same way as the first.
I just didn't know what to say with the song. It had no meaning.

Even when I had the opportunity to release it as part of World 2, I decided against it, because I knew if I just remade it it could be so much more than it already was.

Then, finally, while sketching out a follow-up album to "To the Other Side" I finally figured out what I wanted to say with the song, what it meant to me, and how it fit into a larger narrative, while both remaking the first song and the second unfinished one into one piece of music.

I combined the best parts of both into one arrangement, trimming the weaker parts I wasn't happy with while keeping its purpose in mind.
Now, 10 years after working on it for the first time, it's finally time to show:
