UPD: Urgent fix for mouse steering. Thanks to @aj647 for spotting the issue quickly!
It’s been some intensive bug hunting, but hopefully now performance should get back up. Also, if you remember, some time ago I’ve made a post about disc filtering for shadows reducing noise in shadows in front of the car (here’s new comparison screenshots). Now, I improved its general implementation and made it standard, with a few other optimization along the way to try and compensate for its extra cost. I had to start cutting out those extra shader sets to try and make things compatible with rain (otherwise, I’d have to triple rain-related shader sets, and, if nothing else, it would make CSP quite a lot larger and slower to build).
Hopefully new build would work fine in general, but if not, I’ll work on shadows filtering more, possibly lowering quality a bit.
As for rain, unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of time to work on it with all the fixes, but now rain starting in the middle of the race should no longer cause that annoying freeze (and rain drops on windscreen won’t act all weird around wipers anymore).
Next stop, I hope, is to work on finally adding rain tyres with proper look and online syncronization, and to start guessing different tyre parameters.
