Not a lot of screenshots here, that part shows itself better in motion. Not even sure if video could capture it well either.

I reworked Smart Shadows part, adding an option for custom shadow matrices. They should be more stable, so shadows wouldn’t jiggle around as much with camera rotation, and take into account corners of triple screen cameras or VR orientation properly. Stabilization is pretty simple, but this way, it doesn’t require sacrificing pixels-to-meters ratio.

Another option that might be useful is disc shadows. It’s a bit more expensive, but it could help with shadows aliasing, especially without temporal anti-aliasing. Comparison.

Please give it a try and check if new options help or if they affect performance. And, of course, thank you for your support!

Tested in VR with 4K shadows. The shadows look much, much better especially distant shadows and longer shadows at dawn and dusk. There is still a little bit of edge crawl which occurs, especially with accelerated time, or with shadows of trees with lots of leaves. Not sure this is fixable unless there's a way to crank up more AA. I think this build still has some left-eye/right-eye missing post-processing effects bugs, btw.

Works fine for me. VR and on Screen without performance issues.

Thank you! As for crawling, I’ll try to add a fix for that too, however it would make shadows blurrier (fully fixed shadows need to have much bigger margins, so they cover larger area). As for left/right issues in VR, working on that, will fix.
