Monthly update #32 (Patreon)

Getting covid at the start of the month put my work behind for a couple of weeks. I'm still working on adding Eeyok's chapters 7 and 8 to the game, but at least I finished writing them this month.

Eeyok's first CG is finished, and I'm currently working on his second one!

For those that have been following the story, they know how Eeyok is really standoffish towards the MC, especially compared to his friendly demeanor in James' route. Poor guy, he's got his reasons. Eeyok will soften in chapter 8, so there's something to look forward to! I've learned from feedback on James' route that players would definitely enjoy romance to start much sooner, so Eeyok will warm up to MC, I promise. I have outlined entire scenes which are just bonding moments for Eeyok and MC.

Moonstone Remix
There's progress on my upcoming game as well! With Unity's fiasco (wanting to charge developers per install, and then rolling back due to the backlash), I've decided to switch engines since I lost trust in Unity. My programmer is working on creating the chat GUI again in Godot, a new game engine.

For those that played Aiden's route, you are familiar with Chaos Chat, which was a chat simulation with MC's friends and Aiden himself. Chaos Chat is becoming its own game with Moonstone Remix, getting fleshed out with more things to click, more options (such as adjusting speed of the text), and an overall upgrade. The player is able to meet characters in an online game called Moonstone, and then befriend them on Chaos Chat where they can chat with them. I'm hoping to add a lot of characters!

In Moonstone Remix there will be main characters and secondary characters. The main characters will interact with each other in group chats, influence the plot and comment on things happening. Secondary characters do not influence the main plot, and will only interact with the player. I'm thinking of letting Patreons vote which characters they want to join the main cast (which has the most content), since I'm still undecided on several characters!

There's going to be a lot of writing for this, I'll most likely have to hire another writer again. But first, the core mechanics need to be in place!
