Monthly update #41 (Patreon)

Last month was busy, but so is this month! I've reached 100k words in Eeyok's script so far, so he'll have a slightly longer route than average, but still shorter compared to James. His route requires a ton of new backgrounds and new characters with the latest chapters. Plus, there's a bunch of CGs in between that I must draw as well.

Thankfully nature backgrounds are always easy to draw for me (it's nature, you can't mess it up!), and anything with buildings or interior design is made in 3D, so that does speed up a lot of background making.

At this point I honestly believe Tailor Tales may just be the biggest visual novel in terms of unique backgrounds, with over 300 unique locations, but I could be wrong!

Also, meet new character, Calix!

He's actually created for Zex's route (he's the younger brother of Zex), but I needed a child character in Eeyok's route, so he fit the bill. Hence you'll see him appear sooner than Zex.

Moonstone Remix

Thinking about how to properly do chats in Moonstone Remix, as I want the player to be able to speed up time so chats come in faster, but also be able to talk to multiple people at the same time. Considering each 'answer' the character does adds time, I need to figure out a way to get a global clock working for the chat. I think it's probably best if I allot a certain fixed time the player can chat for each day (say an hour), and you can continue the chat the next day.

Everything in the chat will be working properly (like a true chat!) and can be clicked on. Currently my programmer is working on a media viewer for any images sent or shared in the chat.

There will be unskippable chats (probably only group chats), and optional chats (mostly private conversations with the characters themselves). These optional chats will have a certain timelimit and 'close' if you don't respond to it. Seeing a chat to the end will increase your affection for this character.
