so the dune books were actually written long before star wars and star wars is heavily inspired by the books as you can see by the similarities like the jedi mind trick, giant worm and jabba the hut like character

I recommend you each re-watch this movie on your own time before you watch part 2 and really pay attention to the intention of each interaction because you're missing or glossing over some important dialogue, which I know isn't your guys fault you have to react verbally when things happen for the video.

To be fair about the doctor, it might seems stupid for him to trust the baron in the movie but in the book he doesn’t trust him at all. His wife was a Bene Gesserit as well and taught him a few of their skills and so he knew how to detect when someone was lying. His wife was being tortured and he knew they probably wouldn’t give her back to him even if he betrayed Duke Leto. He just wanted her to not be tortured anymore. But to make sure that she was dead he needed to see the baron person to detect if he was lying. He needed to make sure she was dead and wouldn’t suffer anymore after he was gone. So he delivered the duke. That’s how much he loved his wife. There’s a few moments in the book as well where he considers telling Jessica and the family about what was about to happen cause he truly does care for them but in the end he didn’t . Also they trusted him completely because the order or doctors he’s from are basically programmed not to betray the family they serve … like ever. It’s considered impossible. Even under torture and everything. His love for his wife was just greater than the programming. I actually really like doctor Yueh’s character in the book. I just feel pity for him honestly.

When you see Paul or his mom Jessica with blue eyes it doesn’t mean they are Fremen. The whole reason the Fremen have blue eyes is because they have been exposed to “THE SPICE” for so long. So anyone who breathes Spice for long periods of time will develop the Blue eyes as well.

The first 2 movies make up book 1. The 3rd movie will be book 2, which is called "Dune Messiah". I agree tho dune 2 is fantastic.
