I hated them showing Azula and Ozai so early because it takes away from Zuko being a credible threat to our team. By saving them leaves you to believe you think Zuko is the big bad villain then Zhao steps up, until season 2. Every season there's an escalation of bigger badder threats.

Disagree, they’re showing a side of things not shown in the original series. Doesn’t detract from what will happen in season 2. Azula can show up and still dethrone zuko as a big threat

Let me put it to you this way. Imagine in the reboot of Harry Potter they show you scenes of voldemort as a sad orphan in the first season. It's unnecessary.
