This high key the most wack and corniest fighting tournament you'll ever see in a shonen anime. Fairy Tail was always ass but this arc and forward is when people who weren't braindead fairy fanboys started to drop the manga. This is the turning point in which the author stopped giving a fuck and started to test the loyalty of even the fanboys themselves. Some people would occasionally come back to make fun of certain chapters that had some of the biggest asspulls causing some of the biggest shitstorms anime fans have seen in anime history. Naruto calling Obito ( a mass murderer) the coolest guy ever or Kinemon's fakeout death don't even reach the same levels of outrage the later arcs of Fairy Tail have caused. Like people were actually convinced the mangaka was trying to get his series cancel to work on other projects that's how bad Fairy Tail starts to get from this point on.

I just want quality shows on this channel but instead we get bullshit like Fairy Tail or slime and miss out on actual good anime like Frieren, Re zero or Dr stone cause Wellz always wanna pick anime he thinks has good fights instead of doing proper research.

They're 156 eps in, views are good & they actually like it so they not gonna drop it. But I can see the frustration mainly because there was no poll for this, they just went and started it. & I agree they need to get on rezero and frieren especially over slime

There was a time along time ago, where i would agree and say that Fairy Tail was good. However this is the arch that killed it for me. I hope ya'll will be able to find enjoyment here. I will be tuning in though because there is one moment that i have to see your reaction for.

im not a big fan of sub tbh, natsu sounds so annoying in sub, he sounds way better in dub, same with all the characters IMO. Fairy tail is one of the few anime that does dub amazing, especially in fights.

And now the tournament officially starts. The Grand Magic Games arc is fantastic because every character gets a great moment. After all of the arcs that involve the guild as a whole, this one finally does it right since the other members actually serve a purpose and aren’t there for no reason.

Also, it’s still funny to me how Lamia Scale somehow made it to second place every year without Jura and Lyon ever competing. It seems like no guild had their best compete until this year. No wonder they got complaints about the games getting boring XD.
