The UMA's are explained within the next 2-3 episodes let them find out. Though it probably should've been clear that UMAs aren't negators since Clothy is a monster.

Nah chainsaw man is more similar to jjk how like the devils and curses are concepts or things that people fear. Umas are gods creations like they can be anything not just things people fear
