I think the reason Wendy’s voice sounds familiar might be from hearing Rimaru’s voice. They’re voiced by the same actor.

Don't know if they will see this. But it's hinted that Happy doesn't remember Edolas, because his mission so to speak was overshadowed by the love and nurturing from natsu and lissana, as an egg. Like his mind was rewritten. I can't remember if there is a confirmed answer or not.

Wendy’s voice sounds different because when she was introduced she was super shy and nervous. Now she’s getting more comfortable with everyone and with herself slowly but surely. And so her voice reflects that.
