I really like the horror elements that they are leaning into with this arc. The screaming bystanders and the OST really add the sense of dread I like in darker shounen. If they keep it up IMO Bleach and One Piece finna have some comp for Anime of The Year.

JJK battles are awesome. I also love that Gege pays homage to other legends. You can see the Evangelion and Gurren Lagann influences with Mechamaru in this episode, and MAPPA threw in the colored explosions that Studio Gainax likes to use in their productions. Fucking brilliant. Kokichi Muta is a good dynamic character to me. Great motivations and plot. I really wanted him to win so he could get his shorty, especially after he got healed up. But aye the villains are on the ball despite a valiant effort from Mechamaru. This little gang of evil mfers ain't playing. That episode was epic. Quality reaction RTTV!

P8 is a alternate P4 as it’s Renaissance like P7/SBR was for parts 1 - 3, so if you loved DIU you’ll be right at home with JJL, it’s currently the longest JoJo part and will most likely remain so since it lasted for over a decade, so you have to be pretty patient with it. Some people consider it their favorite while others consider it one of their least favorites, so it’s pretty mixed.

I feel like only a handful of anime ever get to stand the test of time, and even then I wouldn’t argue that most of them had better plots maybe they have peaks that haven’t been met yet by the likes of things like jjk or chainsaw man, but it’s hardly unrealistic to think that anime like fairly tale or the later bits of Naruto were far worse written then some of their less popular contemporaries(hxh, berserk, vagabond etc). I think like most things in life the old comes with the good and the bad for every one good old anime their is theirs 100 subpar to awful anime’s alongside with it, this of course extends to modern anime as well theirs no doubt about that, but I question wether it’s really just pacing that they have a leg up on, but of course this only just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt

Just to let you know that TYBW Ep 22 is going to be a slower and calmer episode for the most part to build things back up again for the insane possible anime fight of the year finale, especially after just having a full month of quality bangers this past month, so don’t expect anything crazy or comparable to other series with it.
