I think for y’all to understand the severity of having a terrible season in soccer everywhere but the US y’all should look into what relegation is. When a team gets relegated it’s essentially destroys an organization. Can you come back from it? Yes but it’s incredibly hard because you will lose the majority of your sponsors, which in turn will force you to have to sell players because you can’t afford them then from there now you are stuck with a budget squad at best to try and become a top 4 team in the second division so you can move back up just to try and not get relegated again knowing you are at a financial disadvantage coming in to the top league again. League around the world don’t use a playoff season it’s not just “oh well it was a rough season there are real consequences if your season tanks.
