It took me a while to give Fairy Tail a try tbh. I thought it was kinda corny at first. Then I realized the whole show was on the corny side a bit. I didn't really get invested in it until the arc after this one. After watching that. I ended up finishing the show until it caught up with the manga. Then just read the manga until it was finished. Fairy Tail has some highs and some unfortunately big lows. But I still liked what I watched.

Nah, Natsu and Lucy are strictly platonic. The manga author confirmed it an interview near the end of the series, saying he had absolutely no intention of putting them together. And that he was writing them as more than friends, but less than lovers (i.e. best friends/siblings).

i mean fighting is promoted in literally most known anime anyways. and the fact you brought up death note that doesnt really promote fighting shows the type of anime that youre into which makes sense. anime that has both fighting and an interesting story is probably not your forte. plus we only at episode 20. I can name a few og anime that didnt seem as promising in the first 50 episodes. give it time your mind might change. (and og beyblade over this is the wildest thing ive heard but to each its own)

Definitely the later arcs are way better. A lot of characters are not even introduced yet. Its a classic shounen and that means a large portion of the beginning is world building character introductions and backstories. Not as many major plot driving moments because of that.

Lucy backstory really showcases who she is and why she acts the way she acts or dresses the way she dresses. I know a lot of you guys think she’s trash or mid or whatever, but people tend to forget that she didn’t practice magic at a young age like Natsu, Grey, and Erza and wasn’t in a guild at young age like them either. She still has a long way to go. She will get stronger and not continue to be a damsel in distress. The show definitely does Lucy dirty a lot but she will always be my favorite character because she is relatable and realistic in my eyes.(Again my opinion no one take offense to this)
