The movie is supposed to take place before the last season of black clover. So before episode 158 when they were in their training arc.

It isn't manga canon, but it literally has been stated by the author that it is canon to the story. These events actually happened. It takes place after the heart kingdom training arc and before the spade kingdom attack. He made it fit into the universe without disturbing any of the other events.

It's canon but not part of the manga, so not like OP movies. It's like an anime only extra that does fit into the manga's storyline. I doubt it will play into anything plot relevant though outside maybe a reference.

Don't know what's with all the hate on Fairy Tail, it's pretty good it just has a bad story, boring characters, bad fights, zero cultural relevance, bad ending, bad comedy, tons of filler, and animation somehow gets worse as the series goes on
