I love OP but these episodes are not as frequent as y’all try to make them seem. And most of the time it’s only 2-3 minutes of great animation. An episode like this only happens every other month, after we suffer through some of the shittiest pacing ever.

You can’t watch Big Mom conveniently take out Ulti for some bs Mother Mode, then try to kill Tama the next episode and tell me she’s a well written character. She’s a big plot device that makes the title of Yonkou look like a joke for most of her screen time.

It's just to show how much expectations Kaido had for Luffy and he kept imagining him getting back up to fight back. He was enjoying it so much he didn't realize that he ended the fight already.

Oh okay, I wasn’t sure cause I didn't want to spoil anyone. SPOILER! Momo doesn't know anything about the One Piece, the meaning of D, or the void century. In chapter 1041 he said that the most important pages of his journey were ripped out, namely what he and Roger found on Laugh Tale. So I guess he doesn't know the most important parts.

Getting hyped for Kid during Wano is justified, he gets the kill after all. After that not so much, but the same goes for Law, they both got utterly destroyed. People just like Law more because he's the "cool and edgy hot guy".

The anime portrayed it as Kaido was hallucinating the last several sequences. If you notice, Luffy is bleeding profusely after Kaido is pounding his head with his kanabo. In the next scene, Luffy gets up and is smiling with no blood on his face whatsoever. He then goes toe-to-toe with Kaido until he's suddenly not. That whole sequence is some creative artistic liberty from Toei, since it never happened in the manga. Kaido got carried away thinking he had finally met a worthy challenger.
