Arnheid ain’t deserve to get beat like that, however her actions did result in the deaths of Snake’s men so I believe that warrants some type of punishment.

The reason why Keith hit Arnheid makes him a punk, not that he flogged her. If the reasoning why he beat her was because she set free a violent slave and caused the deaths of 4 of his guards. Then considering her status as a slave and this time period, can't say it would have been out of the norm to even violently execute such a slave. However, because of his desperation and control issues he blew off steam on essentially a tied up pregnant woman. In reality, Ketil didn't give a sh1t about those guards.

he is essentially losing the farm he's worked hard to cultivate to the new king despite making donations and serving the old king, as well as losing the delusion that Arnheid would genuinely be there for him. he's similar to Thorfin in that they both embrace the Viking culture of violence/vengeance when they think they've lost everything (Thorfin seeking revenge/ Ketil beating Arnheid and going to war against Canute).

Anyone saying Snake lost five men so it’s warranted to beat arnheid fails to consider the fact that no one told snake and his men to pursue Gardar, it was for their own personal greed and gain they decided three horses would be enough to risk their lives, they could’ve gone on fine without those three horses and instead chose to gave their lives for it. And then snake proceeds to get mad at the consequences of his own personal greed. People forget that this entire arc is about greed, Canute’s greed to consolidate power, Snakes greed for three horses, Thorgils greed for glory and the most Important Gardar’s and his male villager’s greed to gain resources . Even The grandpa highlighted “what need is there for a man to own more land than he himself can farm”. It was snakes greed that got his 5 men killed and his lack of leadership over his men.

The thing is tho Keitl was never a warrior, it’s just a case of losing his privilege and deciding to take it out on someone weaker because if anyone is to blame it’s thorgil but he knows he cant take it out on someone stronger

Gardar deserved his death highkey, regardless, if you live by the sword you'll die by it, she didn't deserve the beating tho, as the whole enslavement thing and "you're my property" type shit doesn't sit right with me to beging with, good second half of the season so far tho.

Not really considering gardar was the one who bit the guys throat and at that stage she had no choice but to free him cuz no matter what she does in that situation she would’ve been punished, if she didn’t free gardar what would the other five guards have done to her and gardar while snake wasn’t there. She would’ve been in a bad spot either way.
