@Desto Samuels part 8 isn't bad at all. It's almost as good as part 7, in my opinion. It just has a few issues with pacing along with a couple of other flaws, and there were some unresolved plot threads but they may actually get addressed in part 9 instead since it takes place only a decade after part 8. I think people are just harsher on it because it came after part 7, which set their standards much higher for the quality of the writing in the series.

Part 7 is the goat. Truly and genuinely. Part 8 is good… but idk it’s mostly just good. It has some great standout moments but a few times I just didn’t feel like reading and almost dropped it.

You clearly don’t know what you’re saying comparing JoJo fans to AOT’s insane fans who are ridiculously more toxic enough to threaten the author just cause they didn’t get the ending they wanted or expected. JoJo fans would never dare threaten the author over any ending and are saints compared to them. Aside from that, You obviously haven’t seen all of RT TV’s reactions to JoJos even just with the previous season to where he called it one of the greatest arcs of all time and that he looks forward to rewatching it again. What he actually said about JJK is that it’s the best NewGen to which it’s not comparable to any of the OGs and he’s never even read JoJos to begin with so he can’t compare it to that. Everything else you said is nothing but your opinion of other animes that aren’t nearly as influential nor inspirationally iconic as JoJos.

They be falling asleep half the time with practically all of their shows including their faves so that’s a moot point, and I say you clearly haven’t watched or read JoJos cause you just proved it yet again even more so thinking that JoJos as isn’t influential as any of those other you mentioned, not even the big3 combined are as influential. The only one I could give you is DragonBall and that’s about it. They’re Iconic maybe but definitely not influential as there’s too many works that have referenced JoJos, even the ones you mentioned.

@ExrialHD You bring up JJK and dunk on part 6, yet I recall that Akutami, the creator of JJK, said in a Q and A that he took inspiration from "Jojo part 6 and beyond" for one of the cursed techniques his characters used. Writing aside, another mangaka was able to recognize the creativity in part 6's battles.

I don't know where ya'll live, but Jojo is very influential in Europe, at least comapred to the US. The famous Italian band Måneskin, who look like Jojo characters come to life, even said their style was inspired by Jojo itself.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again until people like you get it through your head: Sales =/= Quality. Sales never meant anything but popularity and is flawed as it’s not being accounted for properly for most other series, no “one piece hater” with dare to bring that up JoJos has other greater metrics of success such as influence, pop cultural impact and collaborations. OP’s art will never get fashion collaborations or put it in the museum like JoJos has with Louvre and Gucci amongst countless others. The fact that you tried to insult it as only being used as toilet paper proves you’re just miserably trolling. And Umineko is great but it’s not nearly on JoJos level to which you need a far greater IQ to understand the further you get into it.

Means that there is usually originality in the lower selling show. Mainly cause the general audience needs to be comforted by the same familiar formula.
