Yuzuha (The Sister) told Hakkai to say he was taking the beatings for her, so he didn't really say he was taking the beatings to sound cool. Plus Yuzuha is older so it makes sense why she would try and protect her little brother. Hakkai still sucks though.

I don't think there's really an explanation for it at this point. They took a break from uploading the weekly shows because they were in Japan but since they came back they made sure to catch up on Blue Lock, MHA and Vinland but not this one. Maybe they're not in a rush to catch up to it.
