Aki is my favorite by far. Denji is cool because of how simple his goals are and Power is just ok for me, she's funny but there's not to much to her aside from when she tried to save her cat.

Bleach had the same exact kick off that other nostalgia shows tend to have when they come back. Could be said for Starwars, Samuel Jack, OG hobbit. Bleach fans definitetly remind me of Onepiece fans, you get enough of a mob to congregate on one opinion and build such a big fanbase that regardless of if it's good or not everyone will believe it. Hats off to you all for pushing the narrative enough.

I'll give it to attack on titan i think chainsaw man gets to the meat quicker, but honestly this is only 12 episodes. and season 1 of aot was in the 20+ episode area. Also Chainsaw man really just started like the katana devil arc is really just the first big arc that it ends on. Chainsaw man just got in the kitchen they haven't even really started cooking really. The real meat is what comes after this.

My point is regardless of quality I don't go by the kind of logic you're trying to describe. Just because you have high sales doesn't make content peak or quality (Not saying OP or bleach is bad by anymeans). You can apply your same logic to brainless action movies and say it's peak writing because alot of people watch? Denji is clearly in a worse situation from where he started. rob is so wrong at the end talking about Makima having a boyfriend. Season 2 definitely gonna show them how real this show is.

@Desto I know you’re open to reason, so I’ll just let you know that out of the big3 Bleach fans are in general the most chill and laid back by far, It’s just that when dealing with the hard-core, or even sometimes childishly petty ones that can’t let go of the past of having enduring years upon years of nothing but absolute slander, and hate on this series for not holding peoples hands spoon feeding them, and being true to itself as a battle shonen while also being deep and compelling, when they hear that it’s in the big3 alongside Naruto and one piece they just can’t understand how because it’s so different and not what they’re used to. The best most recent example of this is from TrashTaste’s Gigukk with his recent anime 2022 fall season tier list, he even admits to not being a fan of the series, but that it was still good enough to be A-tier for him and that’s a testament to how good it was, even though it could’v easily be higher. We’re not praising and spreading Bleach appreciation off of just simply nostalgia, or claiming that it’s peak fiction as any false narrative, it’s just to counter the hate as this is just the natural peak of its whole story through it’s grand returning finale with the author at the helm, after having thought it was no longer going to return and we want people to recognize that one way or another, even if it means having to get unnecessarily toxic, I apologize to you on their behalf as long as you know and understand that we could never be as toxic as one piece stans with their precious sales believing that it’s the holy grail of animanga and as if that reflects the global truth rather than just mere popularity through it’s birthplace.

This anime should've been 24-26 episodes. Hopefully Mappa is more mindful of their budget because I do think they were wasting a lot of money. I enjoyed all the different endings but Mappa having to pay animators for each ending as well as the musical artists consumed a huge chuck of their budget. Also, we really didn't need high quality animation of slice of life moments like Aki making coffee or Maki getting dressed in such extensive detail. Like it looks cool but it's kinda a waste of time and resources that don't add anything to the story.

But to answer your question it’s because it’s not hard to get that this shows already touching on deep themes and undertones why wouldn’t it get realer in season 2 it’s not that hard to predict with shows like these, they jus keep getting deeper and serious overtime jus gotta use ya head a lil bit.

you’re saying i’m wrong about denji being in a worse situation then where he started from the 1st episode? ion know about that so far he been killed dumb times and is being threatened with either working for Makima or dying, he would’ve been better off with true freedom after killing the Yakuza. characters like Arai Himeno and other DHs already got assasinated, 1.2mill casualties from the gun devil and other things of that nature proves jus how dark this show is and can get.

The thing is we can't say that Denji is in a worse situation because Denji himself is enjoying the situation he is in right now. They're definitely using him for their benefit but Denji couldn't care less about that as long as he can live a decent life where he doesn't have to struggle to live like he did before.

even tho denji doesn’t believe he is in a worse situation, as viewers of the show we can make the honest judgement that yes he is in a worse situation. regardless if he can eat pb and jam with bread or live a life of “luxury” because of public safety the things he has gone through so far and possibly will go through in later seasons hopefully will make him come to the same conclusion. Wellz said something along the lines of that in the review and i agree with him. Who knows i could be wrong, but as of rn Denji’s life and freedom isn’t really his

@Jerry Labe I agree that Denji doesn't really have any freedom cause he just basically changed owners. He already got killed by the old guy and his goons for no reason so even if Public Safety threatens to kill him it's pretty much the same situation as before but in this case they won't kill him as long as he's an asset and in exchange he gets a decent place to sleep and eat. Not only that but he has people around him to help when he's in trouble. At the moment I can say this situation is not worse than his previous situation but maybe he might go through some shit later on.
