I don’t think peoples problem with her character is that she is black… that’s a bit simplistic it’s the fact that she’s a bit to pretty and doesn’t seem very menacing for a Star Wars villain

Given that people of color in star wars regularly receive horrible racist messages and that Ewan McGregor just released a video addressing the issue, it is difficult to divorce the racism from the criticism. Especially when you have people who didn't have a word to say about the performances in the prequel movies, but suddenly turn into critics when it comes to Ingram's performance.

Cap. She's a bad actor at least for this role. Not because of racism and I'm black so I don't want to hear it. There are plenty of black women that could have bodied this role. They were lazy in the casting.

Fairs, however she’s calling people racist because they dm’ed her literal racism, it’s kind of obvious opinions on her acting are all over the place, some think she’s good, some bad, some put it off to the writing. If you watch the prequels, you’d think anakin/ obi wan had awful actors but it was the script

Cool reaction but its funny when the star wars guy doesn't know what color the main Jedi's lightsabers were. Or who quinlan Voss was. Or anything about the inquisitors. I am hoping and praying they atleast watch the important arcs of Rebels, because they wont know anything going into Ahsoka and future star wars shows.
