It might seem rushed for Ippo to spar with someone but the coach doesn't want to train someone who doesn't have a knack for boxing cause it's a dangerous sport if you're not prepared for it.

Lol makunouchi is the first real true Willpower alum bruh someone who actually works for what he got instead of having born or given talent like pretty much everyone in the Willpower Alum. Even though makunouchi does have natural power but that's only due to helping his mom everyday and in boxing power without technique is useless.

Nah, Makunouchi was gifted with the people around him. He's similar to luffy. He also has a really solid head on his shoulders for boxing and has natural born punching power(yes you can train your strength, but you do have to be naturally strong to some extent to even last with his fighting style). Dont get me wrong, there are def better natural born boxers, Takamura for example. But he didn't get shafted on talent either.

Yea I agree with you, I'm just sayin he had to work real hard to make use of the talent he got. He does have natural punching power but that was only brought out due to his helping his mom thats why it was made sure that we saw him working and carrying shit everyday to see why he was so strong. Lol im just comparing him to people to characters in WA like Law for example with the opop fruit or todoroki who really don't have to do anything to be good at what they do.
