People seriously need to learn the difference between anime & manga, cause I don’t think most people can tell the difference. Something could be the best manga in sales (only for a time in certain regions) but not the best anime while the “best anime” (doesn’t exist) could have an average/subpar manga.

It’s absolutely fine to rep your favorite series & to love both forms/mediums of it, but once people insert their biases when talking objectively, the truth gets blurred. It’s ironic for me cause in terms of ratings and influence, my obvious favorite series is considered an overall masterpiece in both mediums, so with that being said I don’t feel the need to brag about it like most people do, you just have to let it do the talking.

The ending isn't even that bad. A lot of the haters were mad because they [SPOILER} . . . . . wanted Eren to be Historia's baby daddy and then come home to her and the baby after committing a genocide on the world. Only, the farmer really is the father, the Eren x Historia ship is all fanon, and the fate of the world... well, can't tell you that. But yes, A LOT of people were mad that the ship wasn't real and you can tell that because, in many of the fan-made alternate endings the haters made, Eren says he's the baby daddy or whatever, completely retconning Historia's reason for even getting pregnant (to save herself from becoming a titan and eating Zeke) and also the fact that she may or may not be full lesbian. Obviously, the ending wasn't perfect and it had many other problems too, like the rushed pacing, but I kid you not, half of the haters are really just salty shippers and Chaderen self-inserts who hyped AoT to the skies before but now nitpick even the smallest of things they overlooked before the ending.

Fair enough, and honestly I agree cause MAL is a highly unreliable source full of BS that can be edited at any time. I was mainly referring to TV ratings/reaction manga reviews from people throughout different years, both before and even during the anime adaptation. oofff that episode really hits hard. I got so much chills when Floch announced that Armin, Mikasa, and Conny were enemies of Eldia (reminds me of when the gang had to go against Kenny and the King and started killing people for the fisrt time). Seeing Annie and Reiner like that reminded me of season 1 and seeing Conny in so much pain at the end brought tears to my eyes for real. That ep was raw😭

The thing with manga and anime is that both offer something that the other doesn't. Manga is better in regards to pacing and anime is better in regards to making the story more realistic by adding animation and sound. For example the DS manga is okay but the anime is able to make the story more appealing with the animation and the score makes certain scenes hit harder than it was in the manga. It really depends on what you prefer or don't prefer in a story that makes you see one form of medium as better than the other.
