Luffy's red hawk is probably an attack that uses the friction from fist coated in haki traveling at high speed when he's in gear second. Sanji uses the friction from intensely spinning around one of his legs to use diable jamble.

The spoon sticking to Vergo's face is just part of his comedic gag (messy eater) not a devil fruit power. All of Oda's character in One Piece had a some sort of comedic gag. For example Zoro is bad with directions, Chopper is a tsundere/naïve, Luffy is kind of an airhead, Ussop is cowardly/liar, Nami greedy/cowardly, Robin is pessimist/dark.

Allow me to explain why, in my opinion, Luffy is the greatest MC in the big three, whether you like him or not. Firstly, he did not get a headstart like Ichigo and Naruto, he is the one who worked the hardest to achieve greatness. Secondly, he has the hardest path to achieve his goal; most opponents he faces and every island he visits pushes him beyond his limits (the thing is there are so many of them) and he almost died so many times. Despite this, the worst is yet to come for him. Thirdly, he has the most willpower; conqueror’s haki is the literal proof of it. One example is when he went above and beyond to save Ace, even if it meant facing the three admirals, infiltrating the world’s most dangerous prison, and trash talking Whitebeard; his self confidence and willpower are unmatched. Finally, Luffy has the unique ‘power’ of turning everyone into his side which is slowly but surely leading him into turning the world upside down. Bonus: He is funnier than the other two. Who doesn’t love a funny MC?

luffy better because even tho he had guidance, he doesnt have some secret super power in his arsenal, he loses all the time, eg crocodile/ marineford x 10. Unlike the others who love to talk no jutsu, luffy decides his opinion and acts on it instantly, no capping. Also, his dream is far harder than naruto, who had a dad who had that same title, 100x more chakra than your normal person. Never seen naruto in a state like luffy at the end of his fight with lucci and thats facts

Naruto literally died Sakura had to open his chest and pump his heart with his bare hands. Also no one knew that the 4th hokage was his dad except for a few and he was literally hated by the entire village. I feel like trying to become the leader of a village that hates you is a pretty hard goal. Naruto was weak as fuck at the beginning of naruto while luffy was beating pretty infamous pirates from like the first arc.

I personally think naruto is the best Mc out of the big three. I just love the started from the bottom type story. Literally hated by his entire village and was all alone and still never gave up on his dream. Luffy is a really close second for me by the end of the series he might even be first

I have Naruto and Ichigo > Luffy. With Naruto we know his mind how he feels and what he is thinking Whereas luffy is just one dimensional and hard to read most of the time. He's just bland compared to Naruto. Not too complex maybe till you get farther in story. Naruto is just better written imo. I agree that Luffy's goal is much harder and dangerous than Naruto's Before ppl call me out for hating, I see a comment literally saying ichigo the mc and another saying Naruto the best mc. I’d have to agree with you for the most part, except for the whole Luffy being “one dimensional” followed by saying he’s hard to read which means he’s anything but one dimensional, so that in it of itself is contradictory. Luffy is much like Goku if Goku wanted to be a Saiyan King or God (which he became but through ritualized help that he never asked for) and like you said, his goal is much harder and dangerous than Naruto’s dream of becoming Hokage (which was only for the sake of respect and being a renowned ninja) therefore in order to get there he’ll have to face even greater complex and more personal obstacles than Naruto, or at least to the same degree however more lengthy and subtle. As for Ichigo, can’t say much without spoiling, but much like Bleach as a whole, his complex character refuses to hold your hand, far too multilayered to figure out upon initial or even 2nd viewing + he’s real with no grandiose dream. Overall they’re all equally great in their own ways as bringing something to the table. It’s a shame most people can’t see that as they hold their own personal biases, as proof of this comment section.

One dimensional as in the complete idiot he is 90% of the time to the point where it's kinda annoying. Hard to read as in like u don't know exactly what he's thinking. With Naruto we always know his psyche and emotions all the time. With luffy we know at times but not all the time if u get me. I guess those 2 statements did come off kinda contradictory. But the one dimensional thing definitely overshadows. "Hard to read" can be a good thing it depends. Maybe that's what ppl like about luffy or maybe to ppl he's not hard to read at all 100% agree with Ichigo! Goat MC

Honestly can’t believe many certain people in here got booty tickled and compelled to state their opinion by a mere few seconds of Wellz correcting Rob on Luffy being “the best MC” to whether or not he prefers him over Naruto and specifically Boruto (which we all know Rob doesn’t), so even if one piece is his favorite anime, he’ll always prefer Boruto for whatever contrarian reasons.

I don't think there is any point in thinking which mc is better or more complex than the others. All MCs were written in a way that fits the universe and story they are in. Naruto lived in a time of war and ninjas, so obviously he's gonna have a sad story and a reason to become great despite his suffering which is admirable. Luffy is more of a dreamer, he doesn't need to be super emotional or smart, but he is in fact very serious about his dream which is also admirable. Ichigo was a ''regular'' teenager that lived in a ''regular'' world until shit happened; dude never really had a dream, he only wanted to protect his family and friends until he decided to save the world (something he didn't need to do) which is also very admirable. What's important to know is that each of these characters are complex in there own ways. There is no point in comparing characters that are not even living in the same universe or in the same circumstances.🤔

Also, Luffy is def. not a bland character lmao! He is more complex than yall think, I just wish people wouldn't misunderstand him as being just and airhead and carefree. A few examples: 1. Hates to be lonely with a passion (dude will risk his life just have friends - Ex: during his childhood) 2. Emotional, but never acts vulnerable (he doesn't have that kind of luxury, he has to be the strongest otherwise the crew is fucked) 3. Patient, doesn't let anything get to him, doesn't believe in revenge 4. Insane by nature, unfazed in front of violence, fearless 5. Selfish and selfless 6. Humble (not one bit of arrogance in him), but confident by any means (will always get the job done) 7. Smarter than we give him credit for, fighting genius and creative 8. Might act dumb, but is fully aware of his role of captain and responsibilities 9. Is a leader by nature and extremely charismatic 10. Fck loyal (the man ain't ever snitching on you, not cuz he's dumb, but because that's how he is) 11. Gets aggressive when he needs to, and will destroy anyone who gets in his or his people's way, but can show mercy 12. His simple-mindedness is an asset (fast to move on, takes quick decisions, always knows what to do) 13. He is very observant and as the instincts of an animal 14. Shows respect when he has to, but will never bow down to anyone 15. Acts childish, but is in fact more mature than we think 16. Is extremely serious about his dream, takes pride in his flag and crew (believes 100% in his crew) 17. He has pride (don't get involve in his fights or in his crew's fights, they will win on their own) 18. Finally, the great Zoro (another complex character) respects him fully and acknoledged his as his captain since they met. Luffy never breaks out of character, and he has this unwavering mindset that people constantly try to break. Luffy and Zoro have a lot in common btw. I'm sure there is a lot more, but it's enough 🤔😊
