Lmao Pat he doesn't lack 2 senses the only sense he's lost is his hearing, he can still see, taste, touch and smell. Also the only reason why he can't talk is because if a person is born deaf they've never heard actual words before so their brains have no way of processing speech since you can't fully mimic a speech pattern you've never heard before.

Surprisingly I really like this kind of 1960s anime art style. Very Ghibli-esque, so it's natural to see a similarity to classic Disney animations too, I'm sure they pulled inspiration from each other. This is another show I probably never would've watched if y'all hadn't reacted to it, I'm hype for the next episodes tho!
